Abstract

This survey had been conducted on 250 mine workers working at the mine cooperation in Çayırhan region. . According to their work status they need excessive amount of energy. Their average daily energy expenditure was found 4486 ± 537.6 kilocalories (63.1 ± 2.2 Kcals/kg) and the energy consumption was 4012±42 kilocalories. Although the average daily protein consumption seemed to be normal, the quality was low. Calcium was found less than daily recommended allowances.
