Consumption Of Meat Products In Adolescents Lıvıng At Dıfferent Socıo-Economıc Levels

In this survey consumption of meat produets had becn evaluated in 15-18 years old students, Iiving in low socio-economic level (Balgat E.M.L.) and living in high socio-economic level (Ankara College) regions. While 46.5 % of Ankara College students had been consuming meat produets very frequently (daily on at least once a week), this ratio was found 28.4 % at Balgat E.M.L. students. "Sucuk" was the mostly consumed produet among students than the other produets. Television advertisements, marketing availability -selling in evcryvvhcre-, as being catered food and its nutritional value had been found more effective on consumption respeetively. Protein and fat analyses had been done of the samples and found in permitted amounts according to the rules stated in Turkish Food Products Legislation.
