This research has been planned to examine the effect of diets prepared with meat and chick-pea on the serum total lipids, total protein and albumin values of rats on above mentioned diet. According to the data obtained from the results of the research, serum total lipid, triglyceride, total cholesterol, HDL cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, VLDL cholesterol, total protein and albumin levels of rats on meat diet are found high than those of the rats on chick-pea diet. As for the carried out statistical analysis result, it has been determined that differences between the average serum total lipid, triglyceride, total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, VLDL cholesterol and albumin values of the groups on meat and meat chickpea diet are significant (p<0.05) and that differences between HDL cholesterol and total protein values are insignificant (p>0.05).
