Abstract

This study has been conducted on 832 children aged between 3-6 years old who were in official and private kindergardens in the different socio ekonomical and cultural statues of Istanbul. Protein (99.5%) and energy (44.9%) intakes of children were adaquate. However there were significant differences between the kindergardens according to the socio-economic statues. The relative weight of children (wt/ht) were related to the energy intakes.
