Stability of V itamin C added to Parenteral Nutrition Mixture

We investigated the stability> o f ascorbic acid in a parenteral nutrition mixture that contained 250 mL dextroz 50 % and 250 mL amino acıds (FreAmine 111) 8.5 %. The influence o f temperature, light and type of Container was also stııdied. Loss o f vitamin C in mixtures of ali experimentel conditions was significant. The greatest vitamin C retention occurred in bottles protected from light. We preferred to use a single vitamin because of possible mutual vitamin interactions.
