Abstract

Glucose hemostasis is believed to be controlled by liver pancreas, muscle and adipose tissue. The role o f liver among these organs is veiy spesific, central and it planys a key role in the gluose hemostasis. In this article, the role of liver in monitoring the physiologic control of carbohydrate metabolism is reviewed.
