Therapeuthic Functions of Whey Proteins

Abstract

The studies have been done lately indicated that whey proteins show some very important therapeuthic functions. The antioxidant properties of these protein isolates are essential for nutrition. Similarly, their protective functions against tumor nıutagenesis and cancer are considered significant by doctors. Due to the growth factors found in the isolate, they nıight be used to treat some atrophic and inflanımatory diseases i.e. ulcer and colitis. Novv, the challenge is the prodııction of these protein isolates without denatııration by the most economical technology. In addition, more clinical research is needed.
