Abstract

The aim of this review is to give information about fashionable diets. Research has shown that nearly every young woman have tried to do a weight loss diet at least once in their life cycle. Every year a variety of nutritionally imbalanced and unhealthy diets are being circulated among those who are trying to lose weight. Most of the fashionable diets that promise quick weight loss severely limit certain foods and provide inadequate energy and nutrients. There are no good or bad foods. All foods can be integrated into a healthy diet but there are good and bad diets. WHO (World Health Organisation) recommends adopting healthy eating habits and regular physical activity, rather than impatiently applying diets in hopes of losing unwanted weights in a few days. Although Mediterranian diet and DASH (Dietary Appraches to Stop Hypertension) diet take place in the list of popular diets, both of them are healthy and balanced nutrition guides which lower the risk of several types of cancers and metabolic diseases.
