Abstract

A study was carried on 150 students of the Florence Nightingale College o f Nursing with the purpose of investigating their nutritional status and the relationship of any deficiencies with the subclinical disorders reported by them. It was found that they coincided with the Turkish standards as far as height and weight were concemed while they showed a marked iron deficiency concommitant with a subclinical report of anemia, and the relationship was found highly significant. Besides iron the students have deficiencies in niasin, rîboflavin and calcium.
