Nutritional Knowledge of Primary School Teachers and Students and Application of This Knowledge

Abstract

The nutritional knowledge of the teachers and their students in six primaıy schools of Ministry of Education in Ankara has been investigated. The students usually spent their pocket money to buy soft drinks, biscuits and chocolates. The incidence of dental caries is high, because of consumption of above foods. The nutritional knowledge of the teachers in Kubilay and Abdi İpekçi schools was found to be good. The relationship betvveen the knowledge of teachers and the reflextion of this knowledge to the students was also found to be significant.
