Vitamin A Deficiency and Prevention

Abstract

In developing countries vitamin A deficiency is a syndrome leading to blindness usually originating from inadequate knowledge of nutrition and can be prevented by preventive measures. It has been proved that there is a correlation betvveen vitamin A deficiency and respiratory tract infections, diarrhea and childhood mortality. In this paper recent sludies have been revievved and evaluated.
