Thrıvıng Of The 0 -2 Years Old Chıldren Lıved In Rural Area Where Home Economıcs Studıes Were Held

Abstract

This study was conducted in rural area in which there were home economics studies, in Ankara City. Sixty children were randomly selected aged between O to 2 years. During homevisifs antropometr'c measurements of the samples were made. Their index of thriving based on somatic measurements range was zero to eleven. The largest group (63.33 %) for the children studied had the index more than two. There was statistical significance and negative correla tion belween the index of thriving and their score which was calculated according to their mother's education, number of children in their family, boiling drinking water, having refrigerator and their mother's practice of milk boiling.
