Abstract

Total Parenteral Nutrition (T.P.N) is a supportive method used in the treatment of patients in whom the enteral route can not be used for longperiods, in serious burns, in multitraumatized and in the malnourished patients before and after, chemotherapy and radiotherapy. In our study, we presented 45 cases in which we used total pa ren teral nutrition in Türkiye Yüksek İhtisas Hospital between May-Nowember 1990. The youngest, oldest and mean ages were 14,86 and 50 respectively. TPN was used minimum for 5, and maximum for 25 days. In our study, of TPN is discussed with in the reference of the literatüre.
