Abstract

This study is done in order to appraise the growth, development and eating habits of 162, fifth grade students of Ankara Amttepe and Çubuk Yıldırım Beyazıt Primary Schools. This cross-sectional research is formulated through the application of a ques tionnaire and the measurement of the heights and weights of the students. As the eating habits, milk consumption habits of the students who were taken under the research were examined, the difference between the two groups of students was found crucial. Forty percent of the students in Amttepe Primary School were found to be obese and are taller than the expected of their age; and 3.7 % of them were underweight.
