Abstract

The first step of this study was carried out on 800 pregnant women who were in different trimesters of their pregnancies to find out food habits, nutritional and the health status. In the second step nutritional education was performed to 45 women who were randomly selected for 2 months periods. As a result; nutrition education had positively effected the food habits and consumption, such as; daily calcium, vi amine A, animal protein and iron and energy intakes were increased 53.6 %, 32.5 %, 27.3 %, 15.5 % respectively. Health status of pregnants also improved during this period.
