Abstract

In recent years there has been an increasing interest in active oxygen species and their implications in several biological processes. A free radical is defined as any atom or molecule in a particular state with one unpaired electron in outer orbit. Free radicals mediated lipid peroxidation have been associated with the pathogenesis of many diseases and clinical conditions.
