Abstract

This study has been carried out to establish eating habits o f 557 young student in University o f Dicle. Findings showed that 30.16 % o f university students were underweight according to BM1 and 80.36% o f them have bad eating habits. After evaluating university students habits by grading system, it is found that 46.14% o f students have bad and 13.82% o f them good eating habits. Therefore, there weren't important difference between both sexes (p>0.05). No significant relation was found with parents profession and education and eating habits o f the students(p>0.05). When the kind of foods, consumed at meals were examined, it seemed that the most unbalanced meal was lunch with 60.63%. 57.84% o f students explained that they ate all three meals The girls were skiping meals more than boys.
