Abstract

Body Mass Index (BMI), Waist Circumference (WC), Waist-to-Hip Ratio (WHR), Waist-to-Height Ratio (WHtR) and Neck Circumference (NC) are commonly used anthropometric measurements in obesity and related non-communicable chronic diseases. The validity of these methods is frequently discussed in the literature. In recent years, adiposity indices mentioned in this review, such as Visceral Adiposity Index (VAI), Conicity Index (CI), A Body Shape Index (ABSI), and Body Roundness Index (BRI) and Triglyceride Based Anthropometric Indices were introduced and have gained attention in the field. The aim of this review is to summarize and evaluate the body adiposity indices.
