The most common cause of nephrotic syndrome in children is the minimal change disease, followed by focal segmental glomerulosclerosis (FSGS). FSGS may be caused by primary or secondary causes. Among the secondary causes, the incidence of increased morbid obesity is noteworthy. The studies have shown that body weight loss is associated with a significant reduction in proteinuria. For this purpose, dietary management and medical treatment of two adolescents with obesity-related FSGS will be discussed in our article.
